Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data ALTARVOID collects when you shop at altarvoid.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the rules made under it, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
Who we are
ALTARVOID is a brand owned and operated by Pinky Gupta, trading as Namish Fortunes, B-128, Mayapuri Industrial Area, New Delhi – 110064 (“ALTARVOID”, “we”, “us”). For the purposes of this policy, we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data you share with us.
What we collect

Why we use it
- To process, ship and deliver your order, and send order updates by email, SMS or WhatsApp.
- To verify partial cash-on-delivery orders and prevent fraud.
- To handle returns, exchanges, refunds and support requests.
- To meet tax, accounting and legal obligations, including GST records.
- To improve the site and understand how people use it.
- To send drop alerts and marketing, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We use your data only for the purpose you gave it for, or for uses the law allows, such as keeping tax records.
Who we share it with
We share only what each partner needs to do its job:
- Shopify, our e-commerce platform, which hosts the store and stores order data.
- Payment gateways, to process prepaid and partial cash-on-delivery payments.
- Courier and logistics partners, who receive your name, phone number and address to deliver and pick up orders.
- Email and messaging providers, to send order updates and, with your consent, drop alerts.
- Analytics and advertising tools such as Google and Meta, which receive browsing data through cookies so we can measure the site and show relevant ads.
- Government authorities and law enforcement, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal data. Some partners, including Shopify, may store data on servers outside India; we transfer data only as Indian law permits.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart, remember your preferences and measure site traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart and checkout may not work without essential cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, then delete it. Order and invoice records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting laws, and logs for at least the period the law requires. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete everything the law does not require us to keep.
How we protect it
Your data is stored on secure platforms, and only people who need it to serve you can access it. Payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant gateways. If a breach affects your data, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your data.
- Withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal does not affect orders already processed.
- Nominate a person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance with us, and with the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it.
To use any of these rights, email support@altarvoid.com from the email address linked to your orders. We may need to verify your identity first.
Children
The store is meant for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must place the order. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without verifiable parental consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the current version, and significant changes will be posted on this page.
